Trees Waiting
(Inspired by Lenten themes of silence and growth)
No leaves to boast, no vibrant green,
A skeleton against the gray,
The oak trees stand, a silent scene,
And lift their arms in prayer to stay.
Rooted deep in quiet ground,
Drinking darkness, soft and slow,
No fruit or blossom yet is found,
Waiting for the inner grow.
Lent asks us, too, to wait and trust,
When empty branches meet the sky,
That scars and silence are a must,
Before the new-born bloom is nigh.
In this Lenten season of waiting and trusting – you are welcome here, for quiet prayer & reflection –
please contact us to book – we are open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday
