Creative Day Retreats

(I) ‘Creator & Created’ Series

A Two Day Retreat

(1) Paper Making & (2) Book Making

Please book or enquire here

After a blessed retreat last year where we combined both paper making and book making into one day – this year we are slowing things down even more to create an opportunity to step aside over two days to think about the story of our lives and take time to reflect, pray, and on day one learn how to make paper and the following month, for day two, create our own beautiful book from the papers made and recycled materials.

Places are limited to 8, so please contact us to book early – there will be a reserve list.

Suggested donation of £20-£30 (please do get in touch if you have a desire to come, but are unable to donate at this time)

Day 1 Paper Making – Friday 9th October 2026 10am – 4pm

Day 2 Book Making – Friday 13th November 2026 10am – 4pm

Sue Ashby is a mixed media artist – She writes: “I love creating books and sharing my skills with other people. In the workshops I will demonstrate the process of simple paper making for use in a handmade book. The paper and book will be made from recycled materials. The use and purpose of the completed book is a personal decision, but I am sure ideas will be shared.”

Sue is a retired Art and Music Teacher in Primary Education. Co-founder of Kingdom Arts based in Worcester and regular Artist in Residence at the Sheldon Retreat in Devon.

Reflective times will be led by Ellie Rose, Host and Artist in Residence at Breathing Space.
