Inspiration from a walk & ‘the parable of nature’

April 14, 2026April 14, 2026 by Breathing Space Coventry

‘The landscape has changed’ – the old familiar pathways so often trod have disappeared… the farmer has come – with his strong blades to turn over and till the land – his eyes are on a harvest that is to come – the old paths have to go so that the seeds of a future hope can be sown…. the pilgrims are left to stand on the edges and watch, reconsider their steps, trust & wait…

Though change has come and the fields are no longer the same – the larks continue to sing in the midst of transformation –

It’s time to create new pathways…Behold the old has gone, a new thing appears, do you not perceive it? Behold I am doing a new thing….

In nature sometimes we can see parables that echo our inner life – whatever season you are in presently you are welcome here at Breathing Space for prayer, reflection, time to think, conversations and space to hope. We are open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday – to book a place, please contact us

“Forget the former things;
    do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.

Isaiah 43 v 18.19

“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime”

Martin Luther

    Such an encouraging thought – to notice nature and find God in it. I can picture the fields near Breathing Space as the old paths disappear under the plough ….and a new way forms. Yes, let’s discern the way through and be grateful 🌈
